Ravenna: GT Foundation against economic violence

Ravenna will host the event organized by the Global Thinking Foundation entitled "Financial education and prevention of economic violence". The event, open to citizens, represents a moment of reflection on the theme of economic violence and collects the contributions of professionals and representatives of civil society bodies.

Wednesday 18 December will be held in Ravenna, at the Sala Bandini of La Cassa di Ravenna Spa (via Boccaccio, 22) from 14pm to 30pm, the event entitled "Financial education and prevention of economic violence".

The event, promoted by Global Thinking Foundation, a non-profit foundation committed to spreading financial literacy, in collaboration with the Foundation and the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Ravenna and the Equal Opportunities Committee of the Ravenna Order of Lawyers and with the patronage of the Municipality of Ravenna, La Cassa di Ravenna Spa, the Chamber of Commerce of Ravenna, Linea Rosa and the Order of Journalists Foundation, sees participation in the Round Table of Claudia Segre, President of the foundation.

A representative of the Administration of the Municipality of Ravenna will be present at the meeting, Florence Gardini, Head of Private Banking at La Cassa di Ravenna Spa, Gianandrea Facchini, President of the Order of Accountants of Ravenna e Sonia Blade, President of the CPO of the Ravenna Bar Association.

At the heart of the event was a round table aimed at raising awareness of the importance of preventing economic violence, as a sneaky abuse often ignored by society. The round table will be moderated by Letizia Magnani, journalist and writer, and will also participate Alexandra Bagnara, president of Linea Rosa e Gisella Casali, Lawyer of the Court of Ravenna.

Claudia Segre declared: "After participating in the event of the Turin Bar Association with Give Voice to Silence ONLUS, our commitment continues in the work of raising awareness among professional associations for the dissemination of good practices to reward difficulties and the problems of many women, victims of economic violence. It is, in fact, a subtle form of violence that is always the prelude to domestic violence. We at Global Thinking Foundation move actively through our activities to eliminate once and for all this form of abuse which is so burdensome for civil society and the sustainability of families".

Global Thinking Foundation, founded in 2016, was born with the mission of promote financial education, addressing adults and families, with particular attention to women and gender equality. The Foundation has embarked on a path of innovation and research in this area, developing projects for the dissemination of economic citizenship and aimed at preventing economic violence, supporting a value-based approach to economics and finance. The GLT Foundation's commitment therefore intends to support an aware culture of savings and its management: financial education is a necessary objective, which must be accompanied by a process of improvement of active social welfare policies to improve women's participation in the world of work and full inclusion in today's society.
