According to Consob, the new offer made by the subsidiary of Mediaset does not meet the requirements established by the TUF to start a new procedural process both because does not explain the reasons for the reduction to 40% of the takeover bid, and above all because it does not answer the crucial question, namely what if Rai, which controls Rai Way, did not share the project of creating a single antenna operator which broadcast the television signal.
It will be seen in the next few hours what Ei Towers' response will be, but for its takeover bid there are those who do not exclude that after the new rejection the curtain is destined to fall definitively. Soon even the Stock Exchange, which loves takeover bids, will have its say.
