Quirinale, Monti votes for Bonino. Actually no: "My candidate is Napolitano"

Mario Monti is undecided, or not. The Prime Minister, speaking on Radio Anch'io and answering the question about the next tenant of the Quirinale, first expressed his appreciation for Emma Bonino, only to later give his endorsement to the current President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano in the late morning.

“Emma Bonino would be a very good candidate for the Quirinale – said Monti -, together in the EU Commission we have done an excellent job. She is one of those people who need more." But late in the morning the prime minister specified: “No, absolutely not. I have a candidate: she is not a woman and she knows that building well where she exercised the very high office of president and it is Giorgio Napolitano. I would vote for its reconfirmation with real joy”, said the Professor.
