Quality of life: Trento first in the standings, Naples last

Fine Trento, last Napoli. These are the extremes of the ranking on the quality of life in the Italian provinces made by the Sole 24 Ore. Compared to 2012, the displacements are not exceptional, but they confirm the traditional (and clear) division of the country with respect to the North-South bisector.

On the second step of the podium figure Bolzano, which was gold medal last year. Trento, on the other hand, had already occupied the first position in 2007. As for the other side of the ranking, the Neapolitan capital loses only one place, replacing Taranto, which dates back to number 104, ahead of Reggio Calabria (105) and behind Caserta (103)

The other large provinces of the Centre-North are improving: Bologna conquers the Bronze medal, while the first two Italian cities – Roma e Milano – they rise respectively in twentieth and tenth position.

They complete the top ten, from fourth to ninth position, Belluno, Siena, Ravenna, Florence, Macerata e Aosta. GenoVa rises to 24th place, while Torino drops to number 52 e Venezia the 59. L'Aquila improves and is now 71st, ahead of Catanzaro (85) Bari (97) and Catania (101). Penultimate, on the 106th step, it is Palermo

There are six areas covered by the survey, while the indicators used to draw up the rankings total 36. Trento is first above all by virtue of the excellent results achieved with respect to three parameters: economic results, free time and safety. On the other hand, work and income are penalizing Naples in the first place.
