Among the key parameters examined by Pwc in the ranking are economic weight, ease of business development, education, demographics and livability, technological development and cost of living. However, the study demonstrates that cities are also able to be successful not only when they record excellent economic performance, but when they present elements of excellence on social aspects, such as the high quality of life, the well-being of the elderly, the residential offer, the ability to be prepared for natural disasters.
