Putin intensifies Syria raid: "I hope not to use nuclear weapons"

Russia can arm Kalibr missiles and A-101 cruise rockets with nuclear warheads. This was stated by Russian President Putin also adding that “none of this is needed in the fight against terrorists, and I hope it will never be needed."

Putin's words on nuclear power were pronounced by the Kremlin leader during a discussion with Russian Defense Minister Serghiei Shoigu, specifying that the use of nuclear weapons is only a possibility, hoping never to use them.

Just on Tuesday evening, Russia intensified the bombing of the city of Raqqa and launched a new missile attack against some ISIS targets in Syria using for the first time a submarine stationed in the Mediterranean Sea. According to a statement issued by the Defense Ministry, the use of the submarine made it possible to destroy "two important ISIS positions in the province of Raqqa".
