Putin 4.0. Where does Vladimir Putin come from and where does he want to take Russia?

Who is really Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin? Where does Russia come from and where does it want to take? How come he enjoys great popularity at home, while in the West he is considered an unscrupulous dictator? And above all: what is the reality, beyond propaganda and fake news? Is he perhaps a new tsar inspired by the action of Peter the Great? Stefano Grazioli, in this agile and updated book published by GoWare, follows the journey of VVP from its beginnings in Leningrad to the Kremlin and seeks answers to how and why Russia has transformed internally in the last twenty years, returning protagonist on the international chessboard, from the war in Ukraine to that in Syria. A tight story in four stages (Putin, Putinism, Putinomics and Putinophobia) to understand why the vast majority of Russians give unconditional trust in the president now in his fourth term and do not worry about the democratic deficits of a country still in transition.

Stefano Grazioli (Sondrio 1969), has been dealing with the post-Soviet space for Italian and foreign media for twenty years. He has lived and worked in Germany, Austria, Ukraine and Russia. Today he resides in Bonn and commutes to Sondrio and Moscow, from where he has followed the rise of VVP since its inception. He is the author of several essays, including Vladimir Putin, Russia and the New World Order e Gazprom, the new empire.
