The president of Andalusia Susana Diaz is a candidate to lead the Spanish Socialist Party, in order to bring it back to its ancient beginnings after the collapse that occurred over the last year and a half, during which the PSOE has reached an all-time low for thirty years in terms of consent.
However, standing between her and the PSOE secretariat will be the former number one of the party, Pedro Sànchez, who resigned last October and was replaced by the provisional leadership of the president of Asturias Javier Fernandez.
