Prysmian, new contract with Terna for 50 million

The company was awarded the supply of 220 KiloVolt cables as lead contractor. The turnkey project has a duration of three years but may be extended.

Praysmian was awarded a framework contract for the supply, installation and prompt intervention of 220 kV cables with the national transmission system operator Ternathrough the subsidiary Terna Rete Italia, for the upgrading of the Italian electricity grid. Prysmian operates as the agent company of the Temporary Grouping of Companies (RTI) which involves the companies CEBAT Srl and Elettrovit Srl, which will take care of the civil installation works.

The value of the "turnkey" project is about 50 million euro for a duration of three years, with the option of temporal and value extension.

As part of the collaboration with Terna, Prysmian Group it is also engaged in the construction of the high voltage direct current electrical interconnection between France and Italy and the new submarine alternating current electrical connection between the islands of Capri and Sorrento, recently announced by the Group.
