Prysmian announces new organization and starts integration with General Cable. A world leader Group in energy and telecommunications cables and systems is born, with headquarters in Milan, turnover of over 11 billion euros (pro-forma as at 31/12/2017), present in over 50 countries with 112 plants, 25 research and product development and approximately 30.000 employees. The integration with General Cable makes it possible to further expand the Prysmian Group's range of technologies and products
The rebalancing of the weights of the geographical areas was significant, with North America accounting for approximately one third of the Group's turnover, the North American headquarters in Highland Heights (Kentucky), 23 factories and approximately 5.800 employees.
