Prysmian: orders for 220 million in France

Eolien Maritime France has awarded Prysmian the design, supply, installation of inter-array cable connections for two wind farms for 200 million - 20 million from the third project in Saint Nazaire

Prysmian has been awarded three contracts for the construction of cable connections for offshore wind farms in France for a total value of 220 million.

According to the company's statement, Eolien Maritime France (a joint venture between the French company EDF Energies Nouvelles and the Canadian company Enbridge) has awarded Prysmian the design, supply and installation of inter-array cable connections for two offshore wind farms of Fécamp and Courseulles-sur-Mer, owned by EMF and wpd offshore, located off the coast of Northern France. "The finalization of the contracts for the construction of these two important wind farms worth over 200 million euros is expected for the beginning of next autumn" announced the company.

The third project concerns the Saint Nazaire wind farm, also owned by Eolien Maritime France, has a value of over 20 million euros and will be carried out in consortium with Louis Dreyfus Travocean. The contract is being finalised.

According to Hakan Ozmen, EVP Projects BU of Prysmian Group: “These important new orders confirm that we are well placed to achieve our ambitious growth targets in the offshore wind farm market. The investments made have strengthened both our production and installation capacity and now the market is trusting us”.

In 2017-2018, the group acquired offshore wind farm cabling projects for over 650 million.

At Piazza Affari, Prysmian shares gained 1,99% to 22,02 euros.
