The Council of Ministers, still in progress, has approved the bill relating to metropolitan cities, provinces, unions and mergers of municipalities, which revises and partially empties their powers in view of the abolition of the Constitution. In particular, according to the text of the provision, "the provinces will become second-level territorial entities" and will be led by unelected bodies. The goal is to rationalize spending.
The bill, after today's necessary approval, will be submitted to the examination of the Unified Conference, to then return to the examination of the executive for the definitive launch.
