After the success of the first tablet designed by Olivetti, the new digital tablet, Olipad 110, is coming: the updated version of the first Italian product in the sector. The new Olipad, which will be on the market this summer (at €399), will make use of significant updates, both in terms of design and technical characteristics. First of all, the Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core microprocessor, which guarantees an improvement in performance compared to the previous version and makes software operation easier.
Honeycomb 3.1, the latest version of Android for digital tablets, will be installed on the tricolor tablet. The screen will be full HD of 10” and the flagship novelties are the two 2 and 5 megapixel cameras. Another strong point is the HDMI output, which will make it possible to connect the tablet with computers and televisions, transmitting high definition images (previously this function was only possible through a base to be connected to the device).
Olipad 110 weighs 600 grams, while the dimensions are 13,9x267x173 mm. The device has an internal memory of 16 gigabytes, with the possibility of integration via microSD memory card. The Ivrea-based company, led by Marisa Bellisario, strongly believes in the challenge on the tablet market, dominated by Apple, but with excellent possibilities for other companies to enter a parallel level, competing in particular on the price factor. The launch of Olipad 100 gave a positive signal in terms of response: this prompted the Piedmontese company to present itself with a more up-to-date product, to which it will add within the year, as anticipated at Firstonline. info from the same Ad, another tablet of smaller dimensions (7”).
