Signs of recovery also from oil consumption: in Italy in April, fuel consumption at all levels amounted to around 5 million tons, with an increase of 5,3% (+251.000 tons) compared to the same month of 2014. This is what the Unione Petrolifera announced, underlining that it is certainly a positive figure linked to the current favorable situation which it is hoped will consolidate in the next months.
As regards automotive products, with an extra delivery day, they found the following dynamics: overall petrol showed a drop of 0,1% compared to April 2014, while the automotive diesel a growth of 6,1% (+115.000 tons). With the same delivery days, the trend would have been a decrease of 4,9% for petrol and an increase of 1% for diesel.
In particular, the total fuel demand (gasoline + diesel) in April amounted to approximately 2,7 million tonnes, of which 0,7 million tonnes of petrol and 2 million of automotive diesel, with a growth of 4,5% (+114.000 tonnes ) compared to the same month in 2014.
