The next stage of the privatizations planned by the government will be the sale of 4% of theEni. He reveals it Bloomberg and it is entirely likely as the hypothesis has not been denied or commented on by mef. Moreover, the government program envisages privatizations of the order of 20 billion euros in three years and the sale of 4% of the group led by Claudio Descalzi it would bring around 4 billion euros into the Treasury coffers.

Privatizations, the stages: first Eni, then Poste

Then it should be a Poste Italiane, with the sale - hopefully to retail - of a 10-15% share of the capital which would not cause the State to lose control, thanks to the presence of 35% of the CDP and to 29,2% of the Mef, which could thus reduce its share without problems. However, the partial privatization of the companies is more distant state Railways which, to be placed on the market, requires new and complex regulation.

The sale of 4% of Eni is very probable but not close because it can be carried out when the program is completed buyback initiated by the oil group and which will reach its conclusion in opening them, consequently strengthening the capital.
