Private equity, Tages and Trapani buy 49% of Vam Investments

The Tages group and the shareholder and vice president Francesco Trapani have bought respectively 34% and 15% of the private equity investment holding company Vam Investments founded by Marco Piana. An option allows Tages to acquire up to 100% of Vam within the next three years

Private equity, Tages and Trapani buy 49% of Vam Investments

The Tages group, an international investment firm specializing in alternative funds, infrastructure and non-performing loans/NPLs, has signed an agreement to acquire 49% of Vam Investment, a private equity investment holding company.

In detail, the agreement provides for the acquisition by the investment company – of which Francesco Trapani, former CEO of Bulgari, is a shareholder and vice president – ​​of an initial 34% of Vam Investments and a personal investment by the Trapani itself of a share equal to 15%.

The transaction allows Tages to add a fourth business line, that of private equity, to the three already existing ones operated through Tages Capital (liquid alternatives funds), Tages Capital Sgr (specialized in infrastructure funds and which manages Tages Helios) and Credito Fondiario .

Tages also enjoys the option to raise up to 100% of the private equity fund founded by Marco Piana over the next three years. The current partners and managing partners of Vam, Piana and Giuliano Palazzo, will be able to become shareholders of Tages, while Trapani will assume the position of executive chairman of Vam Investments Group and Piana will maintain the position of CEO.

The Vam team will also be able to count on the other partners of Tages: Umberto Quadrino, Panfilo Tarantelli, Sergio Ascolani and Salvatore Cordaro, among others.
