After a record-breaking October, the thermometers are destined to collapse in the coming days, with important differences - in some cases up to 10 degrees Celsius - and which will mainly affect the Northern and part of the Central regions. According to the forecast experts, we have already seen the first signs of abating on Tuesday 1 November when cold air masses of North Atlantic origin brought a first, albeit modest, worsening to the North and to the Alps, thus putting an end to unseasonal heat .
However, this will only be the prelude to a second, much more incisive attack, expected for Friday 4 November, when a cyclonic circulation it will fully invest our country, initially in the North and in Tuscany, but then also in the rest of the Center (Lazio and Umbria in particular) and in the South (Campania, Calabria and Sicily).

In reality, in the long term, the possibility of a return to atmospheric stability towards the middle of the month cannot be ruled out, with temperatures once again above the average, somewhat as has already happened in recent weeks. Snow and strong winds return
The disruption, also on Friday 4 November, will also be accompanied by strong winds first of Scirocco and Libeccio, then of Tramontana and Mistral. The latter will bring decidedly colder air to Italy, with a drop in temperatures even more than 8-10°C starting from the North. The thermal drop could be even sharper in the Alps, even of the order of 12-14°C at high altitudes, so much so that the INFO up to below 1500 and at higher altitudes along the central-northern Apennines.

Wednesday November 2. In the north isolated showers on Liguria, then on lower Lombardy and Veneto. In the middle, rain in upper Tuscany, sun elsewhere. While in the south, good weather is expected.
Thursday 3th of November. A cyclone is approaching and will hit Italy until Saturday, then high pressure will return.
Weekend 4-5 November. On Saturday 5 November the bad weather should continue in the southern regions, while it will be drier in the north in the centre. Instead, from Sunday 6 November the weather is destined to return stable almost everywhere.
