Weather forecast, winter is serious: cold, frost, snow and temperatures drop for 10 days

Cold, Ice, INFO e temperature down: in the next few days the Italians will chatter their teeth, again. First, however, the temperatures will rise suddenly within the weekend (in particular between Thursday 2, Friday 3 and probably also Saturday 4 February) exceeding the maximum values then, starting next Monday, we will change again and we will have to take off our heavy coats again . Why? All thanks to the arrival of the icy Russian hazel NìKola, characteristic wind of the steppes of the Sarmatian plain.

According to iLMeteo.it, a decidedly dynamic picture is confirmed with the comeback of the Azores anticyclone in the coming hours also in the South. Good weather is expected almost everywhere with highs of up to 15 degrees even in the Po Valley, while in Sardinia it will also touch the 20°C.

However, the lows in the morning will remain quite low with frozen areas in the Centre-North, some accumulations due to low clouds are not excluded in the Po Valley and along the Tyrrhenian side.

From spring to winter in the blink of an eye

This parenthesis of climate agreeable, however, will only be illusory. This year winter started very late, around January 20th, and will continue for a long time to come. And therefore February will be a particularly cold and snowy month, even at low altitudes. But when does it get cold again? Already Sunday 5 there will be a first drop in temperatures in the Adriatic Regions and in the South: the freezing Russian core NìKola is approaching Italy bringing abundant snowfalls. That's where.

Snowfall in the plains and temperatures down

Snowfalls are expected right on the Adriatic beaches from Veneto to Puglia, snowflakes on a large part of the Center-South and a drop in temperatures of up to 10 degrees. Obviously this is the “coldest” scenario predicted by the models. It all depends on the trajectory of NìKola, if it will be more eastern (as sometimes happens when the raids arrive from Russia) then the snow phenomena will be more probable only from Abruzzo downwards.

In any case, NìKola's threat is real as at the moment we already have a lot of snow, especially in a good part of Eastern Europe (from Bucharest to Sarajevo and the Russian frost advancing towards Poland and the Czech Republic).

Weather forecast for Thursday 2 February and Friday 3 February

For Thursday February 2, good weather prevails in the north except for fog at night. In the center, however, partly cloudy sky with more clouds on the Tyrrhenian Sea. In the south, sea clouds over Campania and Tyrrhenian Calabria, sunny elsewhere.

Friday February 3, in the north the sun prevails except local fogs. In the centre, the sun will be disturbed by maritime clouds along the Tyrrhenian Sea. In the south instead sunny at times variable on Puglia.
