we receive e we publish the following press release issued by Snam.
Snam It is among the 25 Italian companies, and the only one in the energy sector, considered most reliable worldwide in the special ranking of World's Most Trustworthy Companies 2024, compiled by Statista and Newsweek.
La standings World's Most Trustworthy Companies 2024, now in its second edition, aims to identify the most trustworthy companies in the world. The review, which examined companies operating in 20 countries and divided into 23 different sectors, analyzes the three main public dimensions that measure corporate trust, namely customer, investor and employee trust, to provide the most complete and holistic analysis possible.
The result obtained by Snam, the only Italian company in the energy sector included in this special global ranking, certifies the Group's constant commitment to strengthening a business model based on sustainable growth, transparency, the valorization of talent and diversity, the protection and social development of the territories, in which a relationship of constant cooperation and sharing with suppliers, collaborators and all the Group's stakeholders is cultivated on a daily basis. The recognition follows Snam's confirmation for the third consecutive year in CDP's “A List” (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), the index that identifies the best companies that stand out for their commitment and transparency in the fight against climate change, and inclusion for the fourteenth time in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index by S&P, which recognizes the centrality of ESG factors in the company's strategy and transparency in the disclosure of data and information.
Given the complexity and constant evolution of the global energy scenario, Snam has long since undertaken a path that looks to sustainability, understood equally at an environmental, social and economic level, as the foundation of the Group's daily actions, adopting a all-round approach which is integrated into the same corporate strategy, with the ultimate goal of stimulating and promoting shared value and benefits towards the realities and territories in which we operate. In this sense, the timely and transparent reporting of the actions, objectives and opportunities that affect the business allows Snam to optimize its short- and long-term strategic management and operations. Snam's commitment is also aimed at the direct involvement of suppliers and the constant collaborative relationship with all its internal and external stakeholders, encouraging the creation of transparent and virtuous relationships of trust, capable of promoting a path of continuous improvement and the development of an increasingly sustainable supply chain, looking at the Group's objectives for carbon neutrality by 2040 in its operational activities and net zero by 2050 on all emissions.
The result obtained in the new World's Most Trustworthy Companies 2024 ranking therefore recognizes the trust of Snam's multiple stakeholders in the path undertaken, in the projects and in the choices made by the Group to enable a concrete energy transition that guarantees benefits at national and local level. In line with this path, Snam will publish its first Transition Plan Report in October, a further step in the path of transparency and dialogue with shareholders and stakeholders with the aim of representing Snam's contribution towards an economy with zero, if not positive, impact on nature.
