Understanding St. Paul Insurance is the new name with which the Intesa Sanpaolo Group renews its support to individuals, families and businesses to meet their protection needs in the fields of pension, damages, health and welfare, as well as to manage investments and savings, thanks to a new corporate structure and renewed brand identity of the Insurance Group.

Starting from 1 December 2024:

  • Understanding St. Paul C.V. takes on the new name “Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni”, becoming the company that leads the “Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni Insurance Group”. Virginia Borla confirmed as CEO, General Manager and Head of the Insurance Division of Intesa Sanpaolo.
  • Intesa Sanpaolo Protection, born from the merger of Intesa Sanpaolo Assicura with Intesa Sanpaolo RBM Salute, becomes a single company for the damage and health branches. The company is 100% controlled by Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni and entrusted to the leadership of Massimiliano Dalla Via, CEO and General Manager.

After a decade of constant growth and continuous evolution, the Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni Insurance Group, as of 30 September 2024, contributed 10% to the gross current income of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, thanks to a bancassurance model desired by the CEO Charles Messina, fully integrated and unique in Italy, confirming the fundamental role of Intesa Sanpaolo in supporting the country's growth.

At the same time the campaign of comunication “Together, we can go far”, developed with the agency Accenture Song. The campaign enhances the uniqueness of the brand and its ability to respond to the needs of people, families and businesses, going beyond the sole idea of ​​protection against risk. It aims to emphasize the need to protect oneself as a tool for growth, with a narrative that combines security and development, as a tool for freedom and personal and collective fulfillment, maintaining leadership in insurance investment products.
