On the occasion of European Week for Safety and Health at Work, the President of theInail, Fabrizio D'Ascenzo, and the General Manager of Poste Italiane, Giuseppe Lasco, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding of three years duration aimed at protecting the health and safety of the almost 120 thousand employees of the Poste Italiane Group and at spreading the culture of prevention of accidents and occupational diseases.

Le organisers' activities The planned initiatives range from the implementation of risk management and organisation models, including through the analysis of data relating to Poste Italiane personnel, to joint initiatives for the design of accident prevention actions, through the study of statistical data on certain types of personnel, from the identification of areas for promoting health in the workplace to the widest possible dissemination of best experiences and good practices across the territory.
In a collaborative spirit, the agreement also includes the experimentation of innovative technological solutions to improve health and safety standards, the activation of training programs e the promotion of campaigns of communication and awareness on the topic of prevention in the workplace, to obtain the widest possible impact of the results obtained in terms of number of recipients reached, directly or indirectly, in the reference supply chain.
The protocol consolidates the collaboration already started between Poste Italiane and Inail, which recently provided its support for an ergonomic evaluation of the new counter positions of post offices. For its implementation, a Joint Coordination Committee with tasks of addressing, planning and monitoring the activities, which will be regulated through the stipulation of specific implementing agreements.
