Prescription, green light from the Chamber: time for investigations increases

The Montecitorio hall approved with 274 yes, 26 no and 121 abstentions the bill that extends the terms of the prescriptions. The provision, which in the morning had dribbled around an insidious NCD amendment, is now being examined by the Senate.

Prescription, green light from the Chamber: time for investigations increases

First yes from Parliament to the new regime on prescriptions which lengthens the time limits for investigations into corruption. The classroom of Montecitorio, which it previously had dribbled an insidious amendment of NCD, approved the bill with 274 votes in favor, 26 against and 121 abstentions. The Democratic Party and the centre-right wing of the majority voted in favour, while the NCD abstained.

The reform now passes to the final examination of the Senate: if the text is approved as it is, the prescript it will be longer for all crimes and in particular for corruption, going from 10 to 15 years.
