Libyan Premier: "War immediately or Isis in Italy"

Abdullah al Thani, premier of the Libyan government recognized by the international community, is asking the West to launch an air offensive to flush out the jihadists who control Tripoli, "otherwise the threat will reach Italy". Al Thani said this a few hours before the Egyptian jets bombed ISIS positions in Libya, in response to the killing of the Copts. "I ask the world powers to stand by Libya's side, otherwise this threat will spread to Italy and Europe".

From Cairo there is no mention of any collaboration from the Libyan regular forces: "We confirm that revenge for the blood of the Egyptians is an absolute right and will be applied", says the statement of the Egyptian armed forces announcing the air raids carried out at dawn in Libya.

The raids were carried out under "Egypt's right to defend its security and stability and in revenge and response to the criminal acts of terrorist elements and formations inside and outside the country," the statement said.
