Between Oslo and Stockholm, the Nobel prizes are delivered. The Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo. The prestigious honor was attributed to him by virtue of an agreement with the Farc guerrillas. Santos himself described the prize as "a gift from heaven" and declared that the agreement could serve as a model for those countries in the grip of a civil war such as Syria, Yemen or South Sudan. 

In Stockholm instead the ceremony for the assignment of the other Nobels. Empty chair, so to speak, for Bob Dylan. In fact, the singer was not present at the Nobel award ceremony. He sent a speech, lectio magistralis, e Patti Smith performing 'A hard rain's a-Gonna Fall'. But the singer broke down in tears after the first verse. “Sorry, I'm nervous. Can I start over?”. However, a memorable performance that of Smith, who had chosen to interpret one of Dylan's most important songs, for the ceremony. Dylan is the first singer-songwriter to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, not without controversy between writers and musicians. 

However, the hall has reserved one standing ovation for Bob Dylaneven if absent. The singer-songwriter received an avalanche of commendations when cited for the Literature Prize awarded for his poetry set to music. One for all: "He was like the Oracle of Delphi reading the evening news".

In Stockholm, however, there were David Thouless, Ducan Haldane and Michael Kosterlitz for physics, James Fraser Stoddart, Bernad Feringa and Jean-Pierre Savage for chemistry, Yoshinori Ohsumi for medicine. The Economics Prize was presented to Oliver Hart and Bengt Homstrom for their contribution to the theory of contracts. Each of them also received a medal and a diploma, while the prize of eight million Swedish crowns, approximately 800 euros, will be divided among all the winners in each category. After the ceremony, the Swedish royal family, the prize-winners and guests moved to the blue hall of the Stockholm City Hall for the gala lunch.
