The house has opened a dispute with shareholders historians of Milanese coffee, stating that they have rights to the brand and to Cova Montenapoleone spa, the operating company that manages the business.

The legal action dates back to about twenty days ago and therefore precedes the agreement with which the French giant bought 33% of Pasticceria Confetteria Cova, the holding company that controls all the activities, for 80 million euros.

Prada's lawyers would have asked for the seizure of the operating company, claiming they could document a pre-agreement which was later rejected by the shareholders. The Court's decision is expected by the end of July. The fashion company had been in talks with the Faccioli for several months, but in the end they chose Lvmh because the offer from the French was higher.
