Control of Prada returns to Italy. Prada Holding and its controlling shareholders, i.e. the founding family and Patrizio Bertelli, have decided to repatriate "all the assets of the partners abroad and in particular the controlling companies located in the Netherlands and Holland", in the wake of the strategic decision to "make Italy the center of gravity" of the group.
The initiative - specifies a note - was carried out through "a constant comparison and dialogue with the Revenue Agency and made it possible to define the tax obligations resulting from the repatriation of the foreign structure with reference to the last ten years". It is "an initiative taken voluntarily by the holding and its shareholders in the wake of a process already started with the Italian financial administration since 2008. We are very happy to have taken this strategic decision, consistent with our desire to invest in Italy" , underlines Patrizio Bertelli, quoted in the note.
