Poste Italiane pushes for sustainability

“Poste Italiane obtains the certification of its environmental management system according to the international standard UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 issued by IMQ-CSQ, one of the most authoritative accredited certification bodies at an international level”.  The company communicates this with a note in which it underlines that the development of an Environmental Management System, certified according to the UNI EN ISO 14001 standard, "allows the systemic management of the environmental aspects inherent to the processes, with a view to efficiency and improvement of environmental performance, making it possible to obtain important advantages, also in terms of sustainability".

Specifically, the certification was obtained for the planning, guidance, control and coordination processes of the Postal and Financial Services.

"The achievement of Poste Italiane's ISO 14001 certification - declared the Co-General Manager of Poste Italiane, Giuseppe Lasco - strengthens the Integrated Management System already adopted by the Company, demonstrating once again the importance attributed by Poste Italiane to environmental issues and, in general, to sustainable development. The results achieved so far encourage us to continue along this path, hoping that we can continue to make a significant contribution to the economic and social well-being of the country."

The new certification joins the others obtained by the group which underlines the commitment to a strategy "increasingly oriented towards guaranteeing the sustainability of its processes, policies and procedures". The Integrated Management System created by Poste, in compliance with current legislation and the best practices nationally and internationally, has led the group to obtain other Certifications in the fields of ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality), ISO 37001: 2016 (Anti-corruption), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety), ISO/IEC 27001: 2013 (Information Security ) and ISO/IEC 20001: 2011 (IT Service Management).
