Poste Italiane's D-day is today. This morning the stock will make its debut on the Piazza Affari list and will soon become part of the FtseMib, the index of the top 40 stocks on the Italian Stock Exchange.
In the meantime, they are reckoning with the greatest Italian privatization in recent years. Of the 40% of Poste, put on the market by the Treasury to reduce public debt, 60,8% was purchased by foreign investors, 27,2% by qualified Italian investors and 12% by small savers and company employees postal.
After the successful placement of Poste Italiane, the Treasury will soon put Enav on the market. Longer times instead for the State Railways that the Government has not yet decided whether to sell en bloc or in pieces, separating the network which, being strategic, should remain public.
