Poste Italiane, electricity and gas offer: the energy sold is renewable

The offer light e gas “Poste Energia” by Poste Italiane for the free market it is available in all post offices, on the Postepay and BancoPosta website and apps. The energy supplied comes 100% from renewables Italian, which means that no energy from fossil fuels is used. Furthermore, the CO2 deriving from the sale of gas is 100% compensated and therefore the environmental impact of the production and sale of gas is balanced through emission mitigation projects.

How does Poste Energia work?

The offer allows family expenses to be kept under control, thanks to the combination of a fixed price for 24 months and the possibility of paying bills with a fixed installment, calculated on the basis of consumption for the previous year. This solution allows the customer to pay the same monthly amount for 12 months, therefore not having surprises in the bill, deriving from sudden adjustments. At the end of the year, the installment is recalculated for the following year, increasing or decreasing, on the basis of the actual consumption recorded and it is possible to decide, in the event of lower consumption than expected, whether to reduce the installment for 12 months following or whether to receive the amount directly on a Postepay card or on a BancoPosta account. Furthermore, in the bill and in the app, families can monitor the trend of their consumption.

The Poste Energia offer can be subscribed to on all Group channels (Post Offices, web, Postepay APP and Bancoposta APP). In fact, it is possible to start a quote on digital channels and finish it at the Post Office and vice versa. To calculate a quote you can upload a recent bill (both on digital channels and in the post office), and thus get a preview of your installment. All the information needed to calculate the installment is taken automatically from the bill, with minimal control interventions by the user.

Poste Italiane: goal of zero net emissions

The new “Poste Energia” offer, 100% green, is fully part of the sustainability commitments that Poste Italiane has undertaken with the new "2024 Sustain & Innovate Plus" business plan, which aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2023. Poste Italiane considers energy efficiency one of the main elements in order to combine economic growth and sustainable development: for this reason, in recent years it has concentrated its commitment on the use of energy from renewable sources and on the efficiency of its building stock, with the aim of reducing consumption through the introduction of photovoltaic and innovative solutions. Poste Italiane is also carrying out the complete renewal of the vehicle fleet, going to increase the green component of the fleet which by 2024 will consist of over 28 green vehicles and will lead to a reduction in CO2 equal to that of around 80.000 trees.
