Poste Italiane is confirmed among the world leaders for the policies of sustainability, improving the score in theMoody's ESG Overall Score (77 out of 100) and maintaining first place both in the "Universe" ranking (overall level), out of a total of 4.907 companies analysed, and among the 1.624 companies in the "Transport and Logistics" sector of the EMEA area (Europe, Middle East , Africa) leading the 1.624 companies in the EMEA area (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Furthermore, Poste remains in the “Advanced” category.

The Group, explains a note, has been recognized for a better performance in relation to social and environmental aspects, obtaining a score significantly higher than the sector averages in all three ESG dimensions being assessed. A result in line with the objectives of the Plan 2024 Sustain & Innovate Plus.

"The excellent evaluation obtained is a further push to continue the path of sustainable development undertaken, helping to create shared value for the country and for its stakeholders", declared the CEO of Poste Italiane, Matthew Del Fante.

Joseph Lasco, Co-General Manager of Poste Italiane, added: "the rating testifies to the validity of the Group's sustainability strategy, which aims at integrating risk management and ESG opportunities into the business and looks at overcoming the challenges posed by the current national scenario and international".

The Vigeo Eiris index

Vigeo Eiris it has been part of the rating agency since 2019 Moody's ESG Solutions, a business unit of Moody's Corporation that serves growing global demand on ESG dimensions and climate.

Twice a year, the index selects the 120 listed companies with the highest level of free float in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, analyzing and assessing their environmental, social and governance performance. Specifically, the methodology applied provides for the examination of 38 ESG evaluation criteria, divided by "ESG Domains", which include environmental protection, commitment to respect human rights and valorisation of people, relations with stakeholders, corporate governance and the code of ethics, integrity and fight against corruption, prevention of social and environmental dumping in the supply chain and subcontracting.

Other accolades

This acknowledgment adds to the recent results achieved by Poste Italiane with the achievement of the "AA" rating by Msci and inclusion in STOXX Global ESG Leaders. Furthermore, the Company has entered the main sustainability indexes of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, FTSE4Good, Integrated Governance Index, Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index, confirming a path that aims at the constant integration of sustainability principles into business strategies. Poste Italiane has in fact conquered the primacy in the ranking MIB ESG and was placed in the "Leadership" range of the annual ranking drawn up by CDP (ex Carbon Disclosure Project) obtaining the score “A-”.
