Poste-GdF, agreement against fraud

Signed a memorandum of understanding between Poste Italiane and Guardia di Finanza for the fight against economic and financial crime

Fight against tax evasion, avoidance and fraud, but also against money laundering and counterfeiting. These are the main objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding signed today by Matteo Del Fante, managing director of Poste Italiane, and Giorgio Toschi, general commander of the Guardia di Finanza.

"The great synergy, which has lasted for over a century, with the Guardia di Finanza - said Del Fante - represents a source of pride, we are increasingly determined in the fight against illegality and continue to work to guarantee the quality and transparency of the work of our Group and once again make a concrete contribution to the development of the country. These are very important days for our Company, just a few days ago we signed the renewal of the collective labor agreement with all the trade union organizations, an important milestone for the defense of workers' rights, appreciated by the trade unions. This agreement also allows us to continue consolidating our leadership in logistics thanks to the growth of e-commerce.”

General Toschi underlined that "today's agreement will certainly favor a more efficient acquisition of information by the Guardia di Finanza from Poste Italiane SpA, to better prevent and repress the frauds and offenses that undermine the country's economic fabric".

Thanks to this agreement, Poste Italiane will make its IT assets available to the Guardia di Finanza also for the verification and protection of the citizen's digital identity by setting up a task force for the study of new criminal scenarios. Another initiative is web access to the "Identity Check" for reporting relevant information to prevent and suppress fraud and any other economic-financial offense.

For the occasion, Poste Italiane is launching the new “Open and Transparent Contracts” portal, with a view to ever greater clarity towards citizens, to make public and accessible all information on the management of contracts and subcontracts awarded by the company.

Browsing in "Open and Transparent Contracts" it will be possible to know the number and details of the contracts signed by Poste Italiane with its suppliers: cost, duration, product range, award procedure, name, geographical position of the successful tenderer and subcontractors.
