Poste Italiane's new industrial plan will arrive between "December and January". This was specified by the managing director Matteo Del Fante in a hearing in the Chamber. During the presentation of the accounts, the top manager had anticipated that the plan would be presented in the first months of 2018 but was more precise in Parliament.
As for the insurance sector, he continued, "we are also trying our hand at the non-life insurance sector, the company is already active in the non-motor liability insurance (outside motor liability insurance) on products such as home protection, personal protection and health care".
As for the possible management savings and the reduction of post offices, Del Fante specified that “we are trying to evaluate those extreme overlaps, using a common methodology in the banking sector. We compass each post office with a varied radius (300-500 meters-one kilometre), see which offices fall within it and evaluate whether those offices in the provinces have no overlap. We do not rule out potential reductions in our presence there".
However, "We hope" that Poste Italiane, "and this is a topic of my attention and top priority", is "again an operator with a focus on delivery".
