With three historical films, Poste celebrates Italian cinema. While the Venice Film Festival is underway, Poste Italiane presented three new stamps dedicated to three titles that are impossible to forget: I soliti ignoti by Mario Monicelli, The day of the Owl by Damiano Damiani e Once Upon a Time in the West by Sergio Leone. Three memorable films, made between 1958 and 1968. It is the Mise that issues the three new postage stamps, ordinary mail and 1,10 euro rate. The special issue was organized by Poste together with the Venice Biennale. These are the technical notes that may be of interest to collectors: printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, in rotogravure, on white, neutral coated, self-adhesive, non-fluorescent paper.
