The goal declared by Del Fante is to arrive at the distribution of over 2 million policies a year. From here started the rumors about the fact that the Roman group is looking for a collaboration with an operator in the sector. According to press rumors it could be Generali, strong in the life business but intending to grow in the life business and in motor liability.
During the presentation of the industrial plan, Matteo Del Fante stated that "In the insurance sector, it is a question of finding some potential partner willing to help us sell contracts at our branches, but we still don't have any names to announce today". In the property and casualty sector, Poste Italiane will strengthen its offer of social security funds and company benefits, expand the property and casualty business to complete its range of insurance products. Specific insurance products for SMEs will also be introduced and the development of private pension plans will continue. In addition, Del Fante underlined that “We will expand into the motor liability sector. The launch of the new business will take place very gradually, in any case by 2022”.
