Poste Italiane has adopted a new Compliance Guideline which defines governance, control tools and actions undertaken with the aim of promoting the culture of competition and ensuring compliance with the relevant principles and rules. The Guideline, approved by the Board of Directors, was drawn up following national and international best practices and represents a further step in the process of strengthening the Company's Internal Control and Risk Management System (“SCIGR”).

The Guideline was adopted as part of a broader Compliance program undertaken by the Company for the protection of competition and the consumer and bears witness to the Group's commitment towards the concrete implementation of the principles of integrity, transparency, protection of the competition and the consumer and of legality in all business contexts, essential values on which the corporate identity is based. It also defines the measures necessary to ensure adequate management of the matter, providing practical guidance on the behaviors and rules to follow in concrete situations in order to prevent actions, behaviors and omissions that violate the regulations on the protection of competition and consumers .

“The adoption of the Compliance Program – commented Matteo del Fante, CEO of Poste Italiane – constitutes a fundamental step within the company's path that aims to promote a culture strongly focused on issues of legality and respect for consumers. “Poste Italiane's voluntary adoption of a specific Guideline to support the protection of competition and consumer rights – comments Giuseppe Lasco, Co-General Manager of Poste Italiane – reflects the Company's commitment to promoting the continuous strengthening of the own internal control and risk management system, in line with the principles of integrity and transparency and with the path of development and sustainable success which are the basis of the Group's identity”.

Poste Italiane's Board of Directors has appointed a Program Manager who, by virtue of his prerogatives, has the task of ensuring that the Program complies with current legislation, with the indications of the antitrust Authorities, with the leading reference practices, with the organizational context and group business.
