Poste adheres to the UN principles of insurance sustainability

Poste Vita and Bancoposta Fondi SGR adhere to the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI), confirming the commitment of the Poste Italiane Group ad apply the principles promoted by Nactiumni United and to promote it through the United Nations Global Compact and United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) programmes.

"The implementation of the principles represents for Poste Vita a further concrete and tangible step to contribute to the promotion and innovation of the country system, guaranteeing sustainable economic development - said Matteo Del Fante, Chief Executive Officer of Poste Italiane - In line with the Sustainability adopted by the Poste Italiane Group, Poste Vita has signed up to the Principles and is preparing to be a leading company in spreading a sustainable culture through effective integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria in insurance and financial policies”.

The four principles established by the protocol are part of a voluntary initiative supported by the United Nations with the aim of addressing the risks and opportunities associated with environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in the insurance sector. Joining the PSI formally commits Poste Vita to including environmental, social and health issues in its decision-making processes governance relevant to insurance business. It involves working with customers and business partners to raise awareness of environmental, social and health issues governance, to manage risks and develop new solutions. It invites us to work together with governments, legislators and stakeholder key in order to promote widespread action within society regarding environmental, social and health issues governance. Finally, it pushes to demonstrate accountability and transparency, regularly disclosing progress in the implementation of these Principles to the public.
