Post Office: agreement with Microsoft for digital transformation

The Italian group will leverage the three Microsoft cloud platforms (Dynamics 365, Azure and Microsoft 365) by exploiting the integrated analysis and Artificial Intelligence functions

Poste Italiane and Microsoft have signed an agreement for the digital transformation of the Italian group. The memorandum of understanding also aims to organize joint training initiatives on SMEs, public administration and cybersecurity as part of the Ambizione Italia project.

In particular, Poste Italiane will leverage the three Microsoft cloud platforms, taking advantage of the integrated analysis and Artificial Intelligence functions: Dynamics 365 to guarantee a single view of the customer and optimize the Customer Experience across all channels; Azure for a more scalable and secure IT structure that allows the company to be agile and fast in innovation on different businesses, from logistics to financial services; and Microsoft 365 to enable a new way of working that is more collaborative and productive, even in a smartworking logic.

“The partnership with Microsoft is consistent with our mission and is in line with our Deliver 2022 strategic plan,” said Matteo Del Fante, CEO of Poste Italiane.

"We are proud to collaborate with Poste Italiane in the digital transformation of a group that embodies the historical face of the country and which, thanks to new technologies, will be able to renew its network of over 12.800 post offices and the way of working of all the members of the organisation" , commented Silvia Candiani, managing director of Microsoft Italy.
