Porto Fiumicino, arrested Francesco Bellavista Caltagirone

Francesco Bellavista Caltagirone and Emanuele Giovagnoli arrested. The Guardia di Finanza has taken the entrepreneur and the manager to prison as part of the investigation into the port of Fiumicino. The charges are of fraud in public supplies, embezzlement and - for Caltagirone alone - fraudulent transfer of money. Giovagnoli is director by right of some of the companies attributable to Caltagirone.

The two precautionary custody orders in prison against the Roman builder and his collaborator were ordered by the judge of the preliminary investigations of the Court of Civitavecchia, Chiara Gallo.

The provisions are part of the investigations by the Rome tax police unit, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor of Civitavecchia Lorenzo Del Giudice, concerning the construction of the tourist port in Fiumicino, which had already led to the seizure of the entire construction site last November for a extension of about one million square meters.
