Italian ports: here are the 5 that the state wants to sell

There are five Italian tourist ports that the State is selling through Invitalia, a company controlled by the Ministry of the Treasury. These are the structures in Capri, the Portisco marina on the Costa Smeralda, the Arechi marina in the Salerno gulf, the Grazie port in Roccella Jonica and the Lido port in Trieste. In total, around 2.500 berths for an estimated assets of at least 50 million euros.

The notice set the deadline for the submission of offers on July 13, but the deadline was then postponed to the end of the month. Meanwhile, a parliamentary question signed by Vincenza Bruno and Nicola Stumpo (Pd) asked the government to suspend the operation.

As Il Corriere della Sera explains today, the two parliamentarians dispute the inconsistency of the procedure, in the light of the changes to the tender introduced by Invitalia during the race. In particular, Bruno and Stumpo have pointed their finger at the reserve of a quota of "31% in favor of public bodies and/or enterprises" fixed for the Port of Roccella Jonica. A change that has "introduced a limitation of purchase to private individuals, which essentially takes the form of a clear facilitation of the only public body - the Municipality of Roccella Jonica - interested in the purchase".
