The professor returns for the umpteenth time to the field. "Sunday I will vote in the primaries", Romano Prodi announced today, adding this motivation: "I will do it because bipolarism is at risk".
A choice therefore closely linked to the ruling of the Consulta sul Porcellum: "The risks opened up by the recent sentence of the Court - explains Prodi - force me to rethink decisions taken previously". Therefore – he continues – “I will return from abroad and I will queue up with many other citizens eager for change”. And he underlines the role of the Democratic Party: "Despite all its limitations, the Democratic Party remains the only instrument of participatory democracy that we need so badly".
So Prodi returns to life as a militant with two keywords: bipolarity and change. Frightened by the prospect of a return to proportional representation opened by the sentence of the Constitutional Court.
