Popolare Bari, Giannelli: spa and new alliances

The transformation of the bank into a joint-stock company and the search for new alliances are at the heart of the new course of Banca Popolare di Bari. This was stated by the new president of the largest bank in the South, Gianvito Giannelli, in an interview with Mf.

The new president explains that on the transformation into a spa "there is full agreement with the managing director Vincenzo De Bustis and with the new board of directors" and that the spa is the necessary vehicle for Popolare di Bari "to attract capital but in a project more articulated that sees territoriality survive”

It is in this key, with strong territorial roots, that Popolare di Bari will also move to seek new alliances in the South that could give rise to an aggregation with public and private entities. Particular interest - explains Giannelli - is directed to the Banca Popolare di Puglia and Basilicata, even if it is not the only side on which the spotlights of the Popolare di Bari have turned on.

The strategic lines of the Bari bank do not neglect the need to strengthen relations with small shareholders in view of a recovery of the investments they made before the bank's shares suffered a sharp decline and, nevertheless, the growth of profitability which helps the Popolare di Bari to regain share after the deep red of 420 million accused in the last financial year.
