Popolare Bari, a 1 million fund for members in difficulty

Banca Popolare di Bari has signed an agreement with the Committee of consumer associations to support small shareholders in temporary difficulty (economic or health) through the establishment of a one million euro fund to be paid by the bank itself.

Small shareholders of Banca Popolare di Bari in temporary difficulty, either for economic reasons or for serious health reasons, will be able to access a one million euro fund, specially created and financed by the bank itself, which will support them. This is the result of an agreement signed yesterday between Popolare di Bari and the Committee of Consumer Associations which marks a turning point in relations between the bank and small shareholders.

The agreement also provides for a new type of mortgage loan for households and businesses which allows, in the event of difficulty, to suspend repayment of the per capita portion of the mortgage even several times, for a total of 36 months.
