Pop Vicenza: Consob fine of 9,14 million for former top management

Consob fined Banca Popolare di Vicenza for 9,14 million euros for violations committed by top management between April 2011 and April 2015. The provisions concern the board of directors and the board of statutory auditors in office at the material timeas well as some bank executives. The same – indicates a note – were also notified of the ancillary sanctions of the temporary loss of the integrity requirements and the incapacity to assume positions in listed companies or their subsidiaries for 76 months.

Consob has ascertained that the bank has violated the rules of conduct of intermediaries towards customers, prospectuses, offers to the public and corporate information. The illicit behaviors are the result of company decisions attributable, according to the respective roles of responsibility, to the main decision-making and external control levels of the bank.
