The Guardia di Finanza searched the headquarters this morning Popular Bank of Vicenza, by order of the Public Prosecutor who is investigating the bankruptcy of the Veneto bank: in particular, the object of the operation is the acquisition of all the documentation relating to the loans granted between 2012 and 2014.
The provision specifies that "the Bank is being investigated for administrative liability for criminal offenses committed by its executives because, with respect to the crimes alleged, it showed an inadequate or in fact unimplemented organizational and control model". The reference is to the managers of the old management ended up in the register of suspects: the president Giovanni Zonin, the directors Giuseppe Zigliotto and Giovanna Maria Dossena, the general manager Samuele Sorato, the two deputies Emanuele Giustini and Andrea Piazzetta.
The investigations entrusted to the specialists of the Currency Unit have already made it possible to reconstruct the flow of loans, focusing on those that are particularly onerous. Thus emerged the funds granted to the Group headed by the entrepreneur Alfio Marchini, candidate for mayor in Rome in the last two electoral rounds, to the Fusillo group and the Degennaro group. In particular, Marchini, as also shown by the inspections carried out by the ECB, obtained a total of 2014 million euros at the end of 76,2; the brothers Emanuele, Giovanni and Vito Fusillo received 10,3 million euros; the Degennaros were instead financed with 27,75 million euros.
