Twenty people registered in the register of suspects, managers, executives and officers. The Autostrade company is also under investigation as the responsible body. This is what was announced by the Genoa prosecutor, owner of the file on the tragic collapse of the Morandi bridge which took place on 14 August and cost the lives of 43 people.

The accusations are very heavy: multiple manslaughter, manslaughter and multiple vehicular manslaughter. The two companies in particular (Spea is added to Aspi) are liable for multiple manslaughter aggravated by non-compliance with the anti-accident legislation.

The suspects are all responsible for Aspi, its subsidiary Spea engineering, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Superintendency for public works of Liguria, Piedmont and Val d'Aosta. The names will be disclosed after notification of the warranty notices to the parties.

“Soon we will ask – said the chief prosecutor of Genoa Francesco Cozzi – also the probative incident. The registration is done precisely at the same time due to the need to carry out a guaranteed deed”, added the prosecutor.

59 are the offended parties identified by the prosecutor's office: the 43 wounded are added to the 16 victims.

The investigations by Colonel Ivan Bixio's First Group of the Guardia di Finanza are coordinated by prosecutors Massimo Terrile and Walter Cotugno, as well as by the deputy prosecutor Paolo D'Ovidio and the chief prosecutor Francesco Cozzi.

The Prime Minister's comment arrived from Ischia in the morning, Giuseppe Conte:  “We will not discount a dealership after such a tragedy. I cannot say today that we are moving towards nationalisation. We are interested in fully protecting the assets of the State and having maximum guarantees of protection of the safety of citizens. We will see if this will happen through nationalization or a new tender with different contractual conditions”, the Premier also underlines.

The governor of Liguria also spoke on the subject of concessions, John Toti who explained that he had asked the Executive not to revoke them: “I asked the government that this not happen, I think this is not useful to Genoa, Liguria and the whole country. I think it is right to review the concession system and to discuss it in Parliament, but I asked that all this not slow down the reconstruction of Genoa, which is not only useful for the city of Genoa and Liguria but for the whole country".

On the Stock Exchange the title Atlantia – the parent company of Autostrade per l'Italia – for now it has not reacted to the news and continues to gain more than 4% to 17,91 euros after the words of the Premier on the revocation of the concession and on the nationalization of ASPI. In the morning, the stock had been positively affected by theinterview released by Gilberto Benetton, at the head of the interests of the Benetton family, with which he confirmed the presence in the infrastructure and the Abertis operation.
