Poltrona Frau focuses on Brazil and Latin America

After the announcement of the inauguration of the first multi-brand showroom in Brazil in São Paulo, Poltrona Frau briefly moves into positive territory on a difficult day for the entire market: +0,33% before returning to the red at -0,6% against, however, the Ftse Italia small cap which yields 1,83 percent. The showroom (500 square meters on two floors) is located in one of the most important commercial areas of the city, Avenida Europa, and houses the Poltrona Frau and Cassina brands. The Cappellini brand has already been present since February in the Micasa showroom, the Paulista store synonymous with design in Brazil. The group benefits from the prospects of a country with a rapidly developing real estate segment and with positive expectations on the increase in consumption which, according to experts, will increasingly be the driver of growth in the future, together with raw materials. “If we look at Latin America and Brazil, in particular, we expect more than double the turnover and the orders collected to date confirm this”. In fact, Poltrona Frau envisages an important expansion in Mexico, Venezuela and Panama. In particular, in July a showroom of over 400 square meters will be opened in Mexico City dedicated to the three main brands of the Group (Cassina, Poltrona Frau and Cappellini), which will be followed in the second half of the year by the inauguration of another space of 600 square meters in the Santa Fe area. In Venezuela in 2011, following the inauguration of two important Poltrona Frau shop-in-shops in Caracas and Valencia, the opening of a Cappellini shop-in-shop in Valencia is planned. In Panama, on the other hand, the Idea Design dealer in Panama City will dedicate over 250 square meters to the group's brands in the new showroom which will be inaugurated in the second half of the year.
