Politi: "We are at war: 10 financial companies against the euro". “Obama's Responsibilities”

The hottest war front in recent years is that of the euro. Word of Alexander Politi, well-known strategic analyst, expert in international conflicts, including those involving finance and co-author of the Nomisma Report "Nomos & Khaos".

“What we are experiencing – says Politi – is a full-blown war, even if it is not the sovereign states that face each other with bayonets or bombs. It is a war conducted for speculative purposes by a dozen companies, mostly banks, which share 90% of the world's securities and derivatives. The enemy to be defeated is the euro and the umpteenth proof of this is yesterday's disappointing German bund auction. The civilian populations will pay the highest price, as in any war. For now, we've only had a taste of what lies ahead."

Doctor Politi conspiracy theories are generally not very credible. You want us to believe that a dozen bad guys have decided to make the world go bankrupt?

For now, not the world, but Europe. And then there's no need to sit around a table to decide all of this. bad guys? I don't know, maybe indifferent or sensitive only to money. I want to exasperate my point of view even more, quoting The Terminator. In Cameron's film the computers take over and want to destroy humans. In our society we have High-Frequency Trading, i.e. a computer system that guides transactions like an autopilot carries an airplane. Only this system is programmed to make profits and that's it, without worrying about the human victims it mows down in its path. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, for example, make extensive use of similar techniques

The banks together with the machines on one side and us good guys on the other? But we really do have a lot of debt…

Oh yes, we have them and we have to face them. But we cannot believe that an honest and civilized world is confronting us with our responsibilities and levity, because we would be too naive. This world wants to make Europe an excellent stew, to buy its various assets at low prices. It is a world made up of subjects who have produced an enormous wealth of paper, with nothing behind it, the same ones who now want to substantiate this nothing with our pulp. Today we only talk about debts in the open, that of states for example, but nothing is known about what is subject to the debt formed by shadow finance, the result of private exchanges between bankers. A victim had to be chosen and Europe lent itself more, bearing in mind that many protagonists of this operation are based in America. Having already had to throw the dollar or the euro from the tower, the dollar was chosen

Does the dollar also play a part in this war?

Surely. The seigniorage of the dollar, i.e. its status as an international reference currency, was at risk.

But President Obama was very concerned about the Italian situation, as if it could shake the economies of the whole world. Is it possible that someone, on the other side of the ocean, wants our failure?

He was concerned as we didn't have a plan yet to pay. How come no one asks about the US debt? Obama is the president with the most financial backing from banks in American history. We wonder why? Do we still believe in democracies, in sovereignty, when a president is elected thanks to the support of people not elected by anyone? Politics is now hostage to the economy.
Skill, today, consists in passing on one's mass of debts to others. Ours are there, clear, visible. And we have to pay for everyone. So they will be able to buy our companies, and I'm not just talking about Italy, but Europe, our homes, our strategic assets and rearrange their waste paper wealth.

How do you think we can defend ourselves?

I, together with other citizens, am promoting a European Commons Agency at www.europeancommongoods.org. In our opinion, in order to settle the public debt, the States must not sell the assets but transfer them, in exchange for money, to this agency that maintains their income. It is also necessary to create a crisis management group with the debtor countries and as regards the banks to evaluate what and who needs to be saved and let those who have behaved incorrectly fail. Finally, the ECB must be allowed to issue money. If inflation starts again, it lowers the debt. We are at war, we have to defend ourselves or we won't get away with it.
