Poletti: motion of no confidence in the Senate

Poletti: motion of no confidence in the Senate

The storm continues over the statements made two days ago by the Minister of Labor Giuliano Poletti who, commenting on the boom in vouchers recorded by INPS in the first 10 months of 2016, declared: “100 young people fleeing? Well, I know people who have left and surely the country will not suffer not having them around anymore. The 60 million that remain are not all 'pistols'”.

Words that have caused the wrath and indignation not only of those concerned, but of public opinion in general. Poletti's apologies did not serve to appease spirits, who wrote on Facebook: "I was wrong, I expressed myself badly, I'm sorry":

This morning a motion of no confidence in the minister was filed in the Senate, signed by senators from the Italian Left, the M5S, the Lega and some senators from the Mixed Group.

The Minister - reads the motion - "has given proof in recent weeks of behavior that is totally inappropriate for his role, expressing himself on more than one occasion with questionable language and completely unacceptable opinions". In particular – reads the note from the Italian Left – the no-confidence motion recalls Minister Poletti's declaration "unacceptable and which compromises citizens' freedom to vote" on the possibility of avoiding the referendum on the Jobs Act thanks to the dissolution of the Chambers and the convening elections, and the "extremely serious statements" by the Minister himself about young Italians forced to seek work abroad.
