Pnrr, Assonime: "Resources for justice reform still little used"

The junta of Assonymous, chaired by Patricia Grieco, met this afternoon in Rome. The council met the Minister of Economy and Finance behind closed doors Giancarlo Giorgetti, with whom he discussed the current macroeconomic framework. Afterwards, he intervened Lorenzo Pregliasco, managing director of YouTrend, who carried out an analysis for the council on the projection of the results of the next European political elections. “The European elections – stated Pregliasco – will have an impact on the EU agenda for the next few years and therefore on the scenario in which large Italian companies will find themselves operating. The projections currently available suggest that the most likely scenario is an EPP-led coalition with socialists and liberals, with a majority of around 400 seats out of 720".

Pnrr: "resources are still very limited" for justice reform

Finally, a study was presented on the state of implementation of the justice reforms. Improving the quality and efficiency of justice is a fundamental element for the recovery of the economic system. The Pnrr to this end it allocates 3 billion euros for investments in human and material resources, and outlines a series of regulatory interventions for an overall reform of the judicial system. The expenditure produced for the investments of the Pnrr is, however, still very limited, equal to approximately 25% of what was expected at the end of the plan. During 2023, all reforms have entered into force or are being implemented and their effectiveness cannot yet be assessed. The 2023 data show a slight improvement in the overall performance of the system, especially in terms of reduction in procedural times, also due to a decline in the demand for justice. The data on the reduction of the heavy backlog is less comforting, especially with regard to the one still pending in the Court of Cassation. Assonime, based on a careful analysis of the data, formulates some proposals in the document to consolidate and strengthen the results achieved, continuing along the path of reforms and encouraging the full realization of the investments of the Pnrr.
