The first edition of Intesa Sanpaolo's “Imprese Vincenti” program for the enhancement of small and medium-sized enterprises is underway. The aim is to structure programs to accompany growth and give visibility to the many companies which, throughout Italy, represent an example of entrepreneurial excellence and Made in Italy. In this initiative Intesa Sanpaolo will be joined by Bain&Company, ELITE and Gambero Rosso, so as to make available to the companies selected for "Winning Companies" growth support tools such as advisory dedicated to understanding the company's strategic positioning on its reference market and to identifying possible guidelines for development, comparison with the community ELITE, possibility of comparison with international best practices and participation in training courses, workshops or dedicated sessions on topics of a strategic nature. All the skills of Intesa Sanpaolo will also be made available in the paths accompanying the growth of "Imprese Vincenti"
Forvalue, Intesa Sanpaolo Formazione and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center.

According to an analysis prepared by the Studies and Research Department of Intesa Sanpaolo, small and medium-sized Italian enterprises are a key factor in the competitiveness of our country: they account for 50% of our manufacturing exports. Thanks to the close relationships on the territories and in the supply chains between suppliers and leading companies, the Italian model has withstood the strong competitive pressure of emerging countries, so much so that the manufacturing balance of over 90 billion euros is among the highest in the world. Italy is also in first place worldwide for the diversification of manufacturing exports, higher than that which characterizes the United States, Germany, China, Japan, France and the United Kingdom. In recent years, the number of winning companies ("champions") that have focused on a set of advanced strategies in terms of internationalization, innovation, quality and environmental sustainability has increased. These companies have created employment, enhancing skills and talents and achieving significant results in terms of growth and capital solidity.

Faced with the ongoing slowdown, the factors underlying these successes need to be further strengthened with a greater diffusion of these strategic levers. The following will be crucial: tangible and intangible investments, creation of start-ups, training, generational renewal, dimensional growth. "Victorious companies" is aimed at SMEs that represent real wealth for the economy and the territory, an enhancement program that arises from Intesa Sanpaolo's desire to to propose itself as a point of reference not only financially for Italian companies, who need credit but also many other forms of support and skills. They are realities that represent the heart of the national economic fabric, which manage to reinvent themselves and adapt to the reference context and which are capable of growing by focusing on a set of
advanced strategies in terms of internationalization, innovation, enhancement of the skills and talents of its human capital. All companies that recognize themselves as representative of national excellence in industry, services, food & beverage, can apply for the "Winning companies" programme.
